Safco Facil Flat Files provide economical flat storage for blueprints, engineering drawings, artwork, maps, posters, and other large-format documents that should remain flat and organized. Designed for lighter-duty applications, Facil flat files are commonly used in schools, classrooms, offices, print rooms, and design environments where affordable document storage is needed without the heavier construction of professional archival flat files.

The all-steel cabinet construction is designed for long-lasting use and smooth drawer operation. Heavy-duty nylon rollers help drawers move easily, while courtesy stops help prevent drawers from pulling completely open during use. Rear hoods and hinged front depressors help protect stored sheets from curling and dust buildup.

Important: Facil Flat Files are designed as economical light-duty flat files for non-archival storage applications. If you need heavier-duty construction, smoother drawer operation, deeper drawers, or storage designed for frequent daily access, we recommend the professional Safco Steel Flat Files.

    Perfect storage for art supplies

Posted by Barbara K on Mar 26th 2024

I needed large flat drawers for my studio to store artwork, large pads of paper, palettes, paints , etc. This produce fulfills this function perfectly. It is attractive, well made and very stable. I liked it so much I bought a second one to add to it, as well as a base.

    Map Flat Files

Posted by Charlie M on May 9th 2023

These are perfect for storing my maps flat. The color is a light grey and looks great in my room. I do not need to store a lot of maps so I am glad they offer this less expensive flat map file as an option to the heavy duty ones.

Flat File Cabinet Perfect For Storing Artwork

Posted by PH on Apr 17th 2023

Good file cabinet for storing large artwork. Overall, it is heavy, but can be moved around by simply taking out the drawers. Minor assembly required: attaching the enclosed handles with the supplied bolts.

    Just unpackaged the 5-drawer cabinet.

One middle drawer slides out with a jerky catch mid-slide, but the rest of the drawers operate smoothly. The only real issue was that the package of 20 screws needed to attach the 10 handles WAS NOT included. Now we must find the correct size/ length at a hardware store. Bummer. But the cabinet fits our storage need.
